Rough Weekend

Well, three of the four of us spent the weekend SICK! So far Andrew alone has escaped the wrath of a stomach bug that hit me first in the wee early hours of Saturday morning, then moved on to Ryan by the late afternoon. Ethan came down with it early Sunday morning. By today we are all feeling pretty good, but I can tell Ethan is tired so I'm having him take a nap today instead of his usual "quiet rest time". (Plus, I'm feeling like I could take a nap myself). I decided not to take/post any pictures of our weekend- hee hee!

The weekend weather was pretty miserable here too- never got above 40 degrees and rained almost constantly. While today is pretty cold (37), the only precipitation is a few flurries so I put the boys in the stroller and took them for a walk this morning. We found some construction diggers at work a few blocks from our house so we stopped and watched them for awhile. We also filled up our bird feeder and chased a few snowflakes- it felt SO GOOD to get some fresh air after being cooped up and sick for the past couple of days.

I was excited to get an email from Land's End announcing free shipping on overstocks- and they had two of the four items of outerwear I still needed to get for the boys! It added up to around $50.00 of savings, all told. Those are the kinds af deals that rarely seem to work out for me because they'll only have the size I need in powder pink, or something like that... but today I found snow boots for Ethan and snow pants for Andy. Other than the pants, Andy can just wear Ethan's hand-me-downs from the past couple of winters. So, in a few days we'll get our winter gear, then... let it snow!
