Staying Busy

The past few weeks have been very busy ones around here! I really don't have new pictures to post right now, because, well, I've been too busy to take any! Recent activities:

• Painted the boys' new bedroom. It's blue, with one yellow and two red horizontal stripes. I will definitely have to take a picture because it actually doesn't look like a circus tent, even with all that color. They love it. -As an aside, we calculated that this is the 6th bedroom Ethan has called "his" in four years of life. It's Andy's 4th in two and a half years.-
• Painted what will be the nursery for Caleb. It's the same blue as the older boys' room, but without the stripes. -BY THE WAY: If you see a cute painting project in a brochure that includes verbs like "measure", "mark", "tape" or lists more than two colors needed to achieve a certain end... put it down and do something simpler.
• Ryan's very busy at work, routinely putting in 10 - 12 hours a day. We HOPE that that will change soon.
• We are going to do preschool at home again this year, but I'm going to postpone our official start for another week or two. Just 'cuz we can, I guess.
• Potty trained Andrew... there will be miscues, of course, but I think he's got it! And he is so proud of his Cookie Monster underwear!
• Other activities include church, Bible study on Tuesday mornings, Mom's Day Out (I must clarify that the boys are involved in this one; I merely drop them off and go about my day for the next five hours), and Ethan is doing AWANA Cubbies again this year. I decided not to be a leader this year, and I'm so glad I took off that hat! We may also participate in a MOPS group once a month.
• Oh yeah, and prenatal appointments once a month, though they'll be spaced closer and closer together over the next 10 weeks (is that all the time that's left?).
• Lately we've been intentionally getting together with friends for walks and picnic lunches., and things like that. This has turned out to be a worthwhile priority, in spite of our busy days. For one thing, the nice weather won't last a whole lot longer. Another is that we have learned how quickly time with friends goes by before it's time for one party or the other to move on.
• Try to keep up with the blog and Facebook!
