This Christmas

What a wonderful Christmas we had this year! It was a pretty big Christmas for us, actually... after 13 years of marriage a lot of our "stuff" has worn out and needed upgrading/replacing, and the boys had outgrown a lot of their toys. Here are some pictures from our Christmas season.

A Christmas parade in Fairborn, OH kicked off the season for us the night after Thanksgiving.
The following weekend, we enjoyed "Breakfast with Santa" at the club on base; the boys each got a toy puppy from Santa. Later that afternoon we put up our tree!

Ethan and I put together a gingerbread house. He put all those little candies on the roof, and did a great job of it!

We had Christmas with Grandma and the rest of my side of the family (see the previous entry).

The boys got their new trampoline on Christmas Eve. It was a little hard to hide, and the weather was pretty icky outside... HAD to burn off some excitement and energy somehow! They LOVE IT!!!

And finally, the magic of Christmas morning arrived! The boys got pedal tractors with wagons so they can be "real farmers" now. (That is a prevailing theme in our house and Halloween costumes for two years running now).

Andy loves his Elmo Live! doll so much!

Other special things we did included reading part of the Christmas story from an advent calendar each day, hosting friends for Christmas Eve lunch and more friends for Christmas dinner, looking at Christmas lights, watching Christmas movies, and enjoying Ryan's long break from school. Next week we'll wrap up the year with a visit from Mama Nelle and Papa!
