Beach Trip!

What a fun beach trip we had last week! Ryan's parents joined us and the six of us had a great time relaxing on the sugary white sands of Destin, FL. Here is what the beach looked like from our balcony:

As you can see, the beach wasn't crowded at all! The humidity was low (for Florida) and the temperatures only got to the mid-80's at the most, so the conditions were great.

The condo also had a nice swimming pool that we all enjoyed splashing in (Andy enjoyed cuddling with Mama Nelle more, though). Ethan and Andrew spent hours over the course of the week building sand castles, and then destroying them.

We went out to eat at two of our favorite restaurants that we used to frequent when we lived in the area. We also took the boys to "The Track", a kind of mini-amusement park that has a few rides and miniature golf.

Northwest Florida still feels so much like home to us; it was wonderful to be back if only for five days.

And to think, we traded the beach lifestyle for a tour at Cannon AFB, NM. We really ought to have our heads examined!
